Temporary staff
for quality management
Task
Parallel to running quality management on an interim basis, a new Quality Manager was recruited.
Our customer is a specialist in the spray-coating of film behind components in car cockpits. At the SOP – Start of Production – of a new small car, the supplier from Germany was unable to supply these films to the required quality standard. Our customer appointed us to monitor processes at the supplier’s premises and to conduct an in-house system audit to restore quality to an acceptable standard. During this project, further quality deficits were discovered. This prompted the OEM to call for a quality inspection to be performed.
Within just four days, we were able to recruit 20 staff, to establish a Quality Gate and to bring order to the situation. A FOCUSON consultant accompanied the team, and drew attention to yet more deficits. On the basis of this, we were entrusted with the task of interim management of Quality Management. Parallel to this, our FOCUSON Personnel Management division recruited a new Quality Manager.
On-site induction training was then delivered by our experts. Following a successful Start of Production, our teams were withdrawn. This assignment lasted for more than three months.
